Parents take heartfelt photographs of their newborn twin’s short life to cherish them forever…

In most cases, expecting parents dream about the day they will meet their newborn child. The birth of a pair of healthy-looking twins into the world felt like a miracle to Ohio residents Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger, who described it as ‘truly extraordinary’.

During the course of their pregnancy, the Brentlingers were advised by physicians that their baby, William, had heart issues and would most likely be stillborn. However, on December 17, 2016, the couple was ecstatic to finally meet their adorable boy, as well as their daughter Reagan.

Lyndsay and Matthew were overjoyed at the prospect of becoming parents. They were, on the other hand, well aware that William’s time on this world would be limited due to his heart problems.

‘I was overjoyed that they had arrived and that Will was doing well. But I was also concerned about the possibility of losing him,’ the mom told in an interview.

A friend of the Brentlingers had an idea to help document the family’s precious time together. Lindsey Brown, a local photographer, was contacted by her in the hopes of scheduling a last-minute shooting.

It was close to Christmas, which is why Lindsey Brown Photography was so full. But, given the circumstances, she didn’t hesitate to pay a visit to the family’s house and take pictures with her camera.

Brown told the HuffPost what she thought:

‘I knew right away that I had to help them.” Anyone with a heart couldn’t turn down such a request.’

Brown did her magic on December 20th, creating a wonderful photoshoot for the Brentlinger family.
She photographed the twins cuddled up next to each other, looking as adorable as can be. In some of them, Baby William looks to be fully awake.

The Brentlingers posed with their infants on the couch, and they also took separate photos of their children separately. Each is a memory that will be cherished for a lifetime.

This opportunity for Lyndsay and Matthew to hug their son in their arms and share precious moments as a family of four has been an incredible gift in their lives.

Unfortunately, baby William passed away only a few days later, on December 28th, at the age of 11 days.
As sad as losing a child may be, the Brentlingers made the most of their remaining time together as a family by doing all they could to enjoy each other’s company (and they were appreciative of that time).
