Alex got into his car and drove randomly all night, barely stopping to gas once. Then he pulled over to a park and sat on a bench, too tired to walk to the station again as his gasoline gauge reminded him that he needed to fill up.
It was around 6 a.m., according to his wristwatch. Even after the long drive, the park was as empty as a graveyard, and he was glad he was alone there because the sad memories of his wife cheating on him hadn’t left him. He quickly covered his face with his hands, trying to relax and forget about the previous night’s events.

Alex kept an eye out as she strolled through the park and into the empty forest, expecting someone to come from around the corner and force him to hand over everything in his pockets. He had nothing else to offer at the time, but his car keys and a phone.
The girl came to a halt in front of a large oak tree as they continued farther into the forest. Then she turned to Alex and waved to the tree with her hands. “My mother was there. She needs help!”
When he noticed a human hand protruding from one of the tree’s corners, he quickened his pace and found a woman unconscious. He sat next to her and checked her hand for a pulse. Her body was sweltering, but she breathing and still alive. He turned her over on her back gently, shocked in surprise once again. The woman was Camilla and she was his first love.
He called 911 quickly and requested that an ambulance be sent to the scene. He ran back to his car to get his water bottle.
He tried to bring the woman back to her senses by splashing water on her face, but she began trembling from the cold. He lifted his jacket and put it around her, enclosing her in his arms.
“What brought your mother here, sweetie?” He asked the small girl, tears welling up in his eyes since he had denied her. Where’s your father?
The girl cried, “I don’t have anybody except my mum.” “Is mama going to be okay?”
“She’ll definitely do it!” Alex comforted the girl.
The medics quickly checked Camilla and placed her onto a stretcher when the ambulance came. They didn’t even ask about whether Alex knew Camilla. The orderly said immediately, “Is the child staying with you?” Alex agreed with a nod.
The little girl cried and begged to be with her mother, but Alex guaranteed her that he would take her to her mother as soon as she recovered. “I knew your mother. Don’t worry; she and I are close friends “He spoke softly. However, as they both moved to his car to return home, the girl looked at him incredulously.
Alex told the housekeeper to watch after the little girl when they arrived, then went for the hospital. Camilla was surprised to see Alex at her bedside when she awoke. “You? What are you doing in this place? What about my daughter?”
“Camilla, please calm down. She’s safe and sound.She is at my house. If you wish, I can video call her right now.”
“Yes! please. Camilla cried. “I’m wanting to see her!” Camilla didn’t stop until she saw her daughter on the phone and spoke with her. She fell into tears once the call ended. “I’m sorry for questioning you, Alex, but I don’t have anyone else in my life but Kate.”
“Camilla, don’t worry. You should rest wright now. It was pneumonia, according to the doctors, and you’re fortunate that your temperature went down; otherwise, they’d have to keep you in the intensive care unit… How did you get in the woods, by the way?”

Alex visited Camilla every day while she was in the hospital and looked after her. He took her home once she was discharged, and they became very close at that moment.

He had a weird attraction to the young girl and wanted to confirm his thoughts by asking Camilla if Kate was his daughter. “Alex,” Camilla replied carefully, “I’ll tell you everything.” “Honey, you go inside and play. Mumma is on her way, “Kate joyfully followed her mother’s directions and went inside. Then Camilla told Alex the entire story.
Charlotte had always thought Kate was Camilla and Alex’s child. She liked Alex and planned to between him and Camilla. As a result, she ordered one of her friends to take fake photos of Camilla with another man in order to convince him that Camila was cheating on him.
When Alex viewed the photos of Camilla hugging and kissing another man, he was crushed and broke up with her. Charlotte saw the ideal scenario and began dating Alex. After all, they were good friends, and their families were convinced that they were meant to be together. Meanwhile, Camila had kept her pregnancy a secret from Alex. After Alex left her, she chose to raise their child on her own.
“I didn’t want to ruin your marriage, so I chose not to tell you about Kate even after I came here,” Camila continued. “I was completely unaware that you and Charlotte were divorcing.”
After knowing the whole truth, Alex became even more upset with Charlotte. He divorced her and made sure she didn’t get anything from his legacy. He married Camilla when the divorce case was closed, and after all they lived happily together.
