Steve Irwin was an Australian wildlife conservationist, television personality, and educator who rose to international fame as the exuberant host of The Crocodile Hunter (1992–2006) television series and related documentaries.
Irwin took his viewers on dangerously close encounters with lethal and frequently endangered species, particularly crocodiles, in Australia’s Outback and later in the jungles of Asia and Africa, with frenetic energy and an appealing childlike enthusiasm.
Despite being chastised for inadvertently upsetting wildlife or engaging in performance, Irwin said that his risk-taking manner helped to raise awareness of threatened but dangerous creatures and allowed viewers to appreciate their power, beauty, and distinctiveness up close.
Irwin emphasized the significance of safeguarding threatened and endangered species of all kinds in his television series and numerous interviews.
Often his wife Terry appeared in the frame, with whom they raised their daughter Bindi and son Robert together. Naturally, when the father of the family is so fanatically passionate about nature, this cannot but affect the rest of the family.
Not for this family. They continous his job working and protecting wild animals. Robert Irwin followed in his dad’s footsteps. It’s no surprise that the youngster is as passionate about the natural environment as his mother Terri and older sister Bindi after Steve sadly death in 2006.
