Some people like to live near their friends or family, while others desire to live in a peaceful off-grid environment.
Ariel McGlothin lives in the magnificent western Wyoming Rockies. She appreciates her financial independence, the beauty of her surroundings, and the ability to meet her basic needs.
She’s been pleased and happy in her small mobile house, which she calls ‘Fy Nyth.’ Her home is 24 feet long and 7.5 feet wide, and it is both beautiful and functional.
According to Ariel, she spent a total of $99,702.00 on Fy Nyth, which was a lot of money for a single project eight years ago.
Ariel shared her home with a friend before electing to move to a small house, however the owner later sold it. Rather than seeking for a rental property, she decided to purchase a mobile home.
Before buying and moving in, she considered everything. Ariel moved in last year once everything was completed.
Many people wonder how life is off-grid.
It was the best decision Ariel had ever made. She has her puppy with her, and she has to work hard every day to support herself. But she’s not complaining. She enjoys the exercise and the sensation of being self-sufficient.
She still goes to the food store, but only when she runs out of supplies. She would forage, cultivate her own foods, chop firewood, carry her own water, cook with propane, and even do duties for the landowner for her daily needs.
All of these things help her stay fit and strong, and she has practically everything she requires where she lives.
Ariel also works several freelance jobs to boost her income, although she claims that she does not have to get up early or work every day due to her bills and mortgage. She may enjoy her time and work whenever she wants due to her financial independence.
Fy Nyth has a huge kitchen where she can cook and a pantry where she can store her food. Her living room is also immaculately groomed. If necessary, she has a couch that may be converted into a guest bed.
Her wood stove, which keeps her house warm, is the focal point of her home. Her garden is large, and she has plenty of firewood. She is self-sufficient and capable of handling any situation.
She also has a composting toilet, a small shower, and additional storage under the stairs.
She has a full-size bed with three windows in her loft.
Ariel is grateful because she can live the life she desires, and she couldn’t be happier with her puppy. Let us not forget that she is no longer responsible for her mortgage or payments.
Is it possible to live like Ariel? Do you intend to live off the grid in a small house?
