Have you ever tried capturing fish with a string and a plastic bottle?
It is possible.
Together with hunting, fishing is one of the first methods of resource harvesting. As a result, different societies have devised various methods for catching fish.
This discipline is regarded to be a job for adults, from large-scale netting to line fishing.
That is, until this child walks up and teaches us how to fish using only the most basic tools. A video of a boy posted on the YouTube channel Pro Fish Hunter became viral.
The film depicted a little boy’s talents and confidence while fishing in the river using only some used drink bottles and sticks.
The fact that it worked is incredible.
While others use expensive fishing rods and other catching equipment, one kid makes do with what he has. He starts by preparing his lure. Unlike expert anglers who use worms, small fish, or bugs, the kid uses dough putty.
He walks slowly the river’s side to set up his fishing lines after expertly wrapping the hooks in dough. By the water, he plants reeds. The small kid then took his fishing line from the plastic bottles and unpacked it.
He secured the bottles by placing them on the sticks. When he threw the lines, the boy’s talent was obvious. He has already gained the skills and instincts required for fishing at such an early age.
He left the bottles in the water to attract fish. For some, sitting by the sea is both dull and relaxing. This child, on the other hand, simply left his fishing lines to snag some fish.
The child returns after three hours finds some slanted sticks and larger fishing lines. He then eagerly tugged and spooled his fishing lines in anticipation of the day’s catch.
He then drew something in.
The small child picks up the first bottle and pulls the rope in. There are no visible marks that he was struggling to pull, thus it appears to be a little bite.
As he wrapped the line around the bottles, he skilfully reeled in his capture. The water around his feet began to flutter and whip after a few moments.
He was eating a fish the size of his body.
He caught a fish as large as himself. He then goes on to grab the next one.
It was a tiny fish this time. Perhaps it was the size of his feet. Because it was the smallest of all the fish he had so far, the third one was the easiest to pull.
But, in the end, his patience and talent paid off, as the fourth fish was ultimately a larger one. In the footage, you can even hear his joyful squeals.
