‘Keep your butts on.’
In the first Jurassic Park film, Samuel L. Jackson’s character, Ray Arnold, says. That classic contains numerous unforgettable lines. We can utilize these lines in this video.
For 45 years, Grandma has clung on a sandstone rock. Although the exact age of the rock is unclear, the entire family has come out to try to crack it open.
Is that a tough decision?
Too late. They softly tap and hammer on the surface of the rock, waiting for a crack to appear. Grandma has it rotated to disperse the force evenly.
‘Your scientists were so focused on whether or not they could that they forgot to consider whether or not they should.’ Ian Malcolm, played by Jeff Goldblum, says this in the movie.
While Grandma and her family aren’t scientists, perhaps they should have sought advice from professionals before attempting to crack the rock that they believe contains a prehistoric species.
It’s sandstone, though! More information on it can be found in geology.
‘Sandstone is a sedimentary rock made up of sand-sized mineral, rock, or organic material grains.
It may also contain a matrix of silt- or clay-size particles that occupy the spaces between the sand grains, as well as a cementing ingredient that binds the sand grains together.’
One of the most prevalent forms of sedimentary rock is sandstone, which may be found in geological formations all over the world.
Sand deposits that eventually form sandstone are transported to the basin by rivers, although they can also be transported by waves or wind. Some sand grains could be organic particles from the basin, such as sand and clam debris.’
So, will all that pounding disclose something? As grandma pinpoints the location where she should be hammering, a crack begins to appear, and you can hear their joy in their voices. That is unquestionably a flaw!
The rock begins to crack under pressure, with chunks coming off, from a thicker thunk to a lighter clink. The rock splits into four parts as Grandma pounds away.
‘Life manages to find a way.’
Except they discover a crayfish inside. It is, however, petrified, which is fascinating to behold!
Someone behind the camera comments, “You can really see the colors coming out now.”
Even a guy who appears to be in an 80s rock band is intrigued by the crawfish. It has a rock and roll feel to it!
The freshwater crustacean begins to expose itself as a fossil. And to think it was in Grandma’s possession for 45 years. Who knows what else she has stashed away in her basement?
