On TikTok, there’s a cat who is known for her love of cartoons. Ella, a kitty who was adopted at the age of ten, understands exactly what she likes and hates, and her family was pleasantly surprised by her decisiveness.
Ella’s mother Emily Kalaygian admitted, ‘Ella is really feisty and demanding,’ adding, ‘That’s only because she’s a lady who knows what she wants and I can’t criticize her for that!’
She went on to explain, ‘She does, however, have her polite moments. She often stands outside my door in the mornings, waiting for me to wake up. That isn’t to say she doesn’t use her voice to sing her people’s song when they need it.’
Ella’s family did not know how addicted she would become to cartoons until a month later, when Kalaygian turned on The Grinch for some background noise while doing chores.
Ella appeared to be enthralled by the colorful personalities on television that day. Ella’s fascination with cartoons was only the beginning, as her mother had no idea.
‘My husband and I started experimenting to see what she likes/doesn’t like,’ Kalaygian told The Dodo. ‘Once 2020 rolled around and we were stuck inside with her and the TV, it only grew from there.’
Ella has reached the point when she does not miss a single day of viewing her favorite cartoons. Yes, she has preferences and follows a certain schedule.
Ella, according to Kalaygian, waits outside her bedroom door every morning until the feline’s daily selection is turned on.
She normally waits at my door in the morning (or yells if she’s feeling fancy), and I’ll choose a show to watch to see if it’s something she’d like. I can usually predict what she won’t or will like, but she still manages to surprise me on occasion!
She does her thing (sleep) after that, and I do mine (work). Then, when it’s getting late, she’ll generally come back up and we’ll watch another show or a movie!
We used to watch a lot of movies, but lately we’ve been watching shows because so many people have recommended things for Ella to watch!” Kalaygian explained.
Ella’s story was published on TikTok by her cat mom, and others got enamored with her cartoon addiction. It’s also entertaining for them to learn about Ella’s favorite shows.
‘We have been watching the episodes on Paramount+ on a loop,’ Kalaygian remarked of her current favorite show, ‘Oswald.’’She was a huge ‘Phineas and Ferb’ fan before ‘Oswald,’ but ‘Oswald’ recently knocked them off the pedestal.’
