The firefighters came to the cafe after a long and hard day and asked for a cup of coffee. What happened next will melt your heart.

As the saying goes, what goes around comes around. Liz Woodward was working at the 130 Diner in Delran, New Jersey, at midnight.

Then, at around 5:00 a.m., she spotted two firefighters entering the diner. When she inquired about their preferences, one of them requested their ‘biggest’ cup of coffee.

The firefighters appeared to be tired. Woodward was informed of a nearby warehouse fire in North Brunswick.

It was one of the day’s most important news headlines. She assumed the two men were returning from their shift.

She was well aware that they had had a difficult night. ‘He hadn’t eaten after 12 hours of fighting the fire and delivering water, so I took him to the route 130 café in Delran for breakfast,’ Tim Young wrote on Facebook.

Tim was one of the two customers that came in early that morning, and Paul was the one who spent 12 hours fighting out the fire.

That coffee was unquestionably necessary. The two men were taken aback when they received the bill and discovered a letter.

‘Your breakfast is on me today – Thank you for all that you do; for serving others & for rushing into situations that everyone else avoids,’ the note stated.

They couldn’t believe what they were hearing!
As it turned out, their waitress, Liz Woodward, had overheard everything and was so moved by the front-liners’ bravery that she offered to pay their tab.

A beautiful message was written at the end of the note.

Tim was moved by the waitress’s kindness and decided to share it on social media, where it quickly went viral. What Tim and Paul didn’t expect was Liz’s need for support behind her wonderful gesture.

And they were going to make it happen.
Liz had launched a GoFundMe page a year ago, which Tim and Paul shared. Steve, her father, was the winner.

Steve had a ruptured aneurysm in his brain. Steve became quadriplegic as a result of this. It was difficult for his entire family to transfer him, especially to his doctor’s appointments. They required a one-of-a-kind vehicle, a van that was wheelchair accessible.

More people donated to the GoFundMe account when the post went viral. Mobility Ventures LLC, a well-known manufacturer of the car they want, was also informed.

Steve received an MV-1 as a gift! All of the funds raised through GoFundMe were used to cover Steve’s medical expenses.

The original aim for the GoFundMe page was $17,000. Liz and her family couldn’t believe how one act of kindness set off a chain of good things.

Liz was simply grateful that there are those who are willing to devote their life to helping the country and its people.

She didn’t expect anything in return, but she was rewarded beautifuly for her generosity. In the video below, you may learn more about this amazing story.
