Princess Diana would have turned 61… How she spent her last birthday before the tragic events and what special call she received…

Princess Diana was sadly died on August 31, 1997, when her car crashed in a Paris tunnel. It has already been almost 25 years.

The ‘People’s Princess,’ as she was popularly known, had celebrated her 36th birthday on July 1 almost two months before to the tragic crash.

On her particular day, what did she do? She carried out her expertise. The Princess of Wales celebrated her birthday at a charity dinner to raise money for the Tate Modern in London after receiving a touching call from her youngest child, Prince Harry.

Darren McGrady, a former chef for Princess Diana, revealed to Hello! Because it meant turning another year older, Princess Diana didn’t particularly want to celebrate her birthday.

Even so, he claimed that Diana’s birthday was usually crowded, ‘not from a culinary viewpoint, but from all of her charities and friends giving flowers.’

According to SCMP, Tina Brown’s biography The Diana Chronicles published in 2007 indicated that at least 90 floral arrangements were delivered to Kensington Palace during that period. A special young man also called the princess on a particular occasion.

Harry was 12 years old and enrolled at Ludgrove Boarding School. He apparently persuaded a group of his school pals to sing Happy Birthday over the phone while he contacted his mother that day.

At the Tate Gallery’s Centenary in London, a banquet was afterwards organized in her honor. The well-wishers swarmed the princess with cards, flowers, balloons, and other gifts as she made her way through the banquet.

According to PEOPLE, she was wearing a Jacques Azagur black gown with beadwork. She accessorized the legendary dress with a diamond and emerald necklace.

She looked stunning, as she usually did, but what really impressed out that night was how she interacted with people in a manner that no other celebrity could. Her younger brother Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, earlier told the site that Diana ‘had a genius for people.’

‘She could make anyone feel completely at ease in her company, whether they were the most regal or the most modest.’

At Princess Diana’s funeral, he also mentioned the last time he had seen his sister, saying, ‘The last time I saw Diana was on July 1, her birthday in London.

When typically she was not taking the time to celebrate her special day with friends but was guest of honor at a special charity fundraising evening. Of course, she shone. Furthermore, her light is still shining today.’
