Lily Meola’s nerves must have been rattled when she sang an original song on America’s Got Talent.
Lily felt tense and was still lamenting the life she had had. She was just a step away from realizing all of her ambitions.
She had her mother and a record deal. But when her mother was given a cancer diagnosis, everything fell apart.
Lily continued by saying that she was lucky to have lost everything since it allowed her to spend more time with her mother.
‘It may have even been a blessing in disguise because it provided me more time to support her. She was my staunchest supporter.’
In the end, Lily’s mother crossed over to the other side of heaven. It appeared she had lost everything in her lowest moments.
She actually learned how to be strong and understood that while sorrow may persist through the night, joy will come in the morning.
When Lily applied to be on America’s Got Talent, she emerged from the ashes wit. She entered the stage wearing a butterfly costume.
It was a tribute to her mother, the lyrics of the original song she had composed, and her hopes that had once come true.
Lily recalled that even butterflies have to fight to gain their wings after Simon called her out on her sadness over dashed hopes.
When she sang, she knew she would demonstrate her talent, and she did! She astounded everyone with her joyful, lovely voice.
With her bravery and strength, Lily astounded the judges. In fact, she moved Heidi Klum to tears, who couldn’t help but award her the golden buzzer.
