According to a marriage license from Clark County, Nevada, superstar celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were wed on Saturday.
Early in the 2000s, the couple started dating and was engaged. After splitting up and spending 17 years apart, they renewed their romance last year.
We did it, Lopez’s fanzine the J Lo declared on Sunday. According to the account, the couple took a flight to Vegas and arrived at the chapel shortly before midnight to stand in line with four other couples.
‘Two males stood behind us, holding hands and cuddling. The young couple in front of us, who traveled three hours from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday, shared our desire for the same thing.
For the world to acknowledge us as partners and to publicly profess our love through the age-old and essentially universal institution of marriage.’
According to court records, the pair was granted a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, on July 16. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were each given a license.
The couple said, ‘It was the most perfect wedding we could have dreamed of.’ ‘One that came true and one that we had long dreamed of.’
The newsletter stated, ‘We read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our life.
We had the best witnesses you could ever want for, a dress from an old movie, and a blazer from Ben’s closet.’
