Twins Jalynne and Janelle Crawford are excellent examples of the special bond that exists between identical twins.
Since birth, these twin sisters have been inseparable, and they have always tried to do everything together. They even had their babies on the same day…
‘Being a twin is unlike anything you can explain or understand unless you are one yourself,’ Jalynne told Love What Matters.
The connection is so strong that one can feel what the other is feeling and vice versa. We were inseparable as children.
We wore the same clothes every day, drove the same car, had the same friends…we were glued to each other’s hip.’
‘’Teachers would recommend to our parents that we be in separate classes, and we would cry at the thought of being separated from one another,’ the woman continued.
Our mother did not want to break that bond between us, and we were grateful that she kept us in the same classes. That lasted until the beginning of my freshman year of high school.
Teachers were concerned that we would not be our true selves because we were always in the same classroom, but we believe it benefited our personalities and we always received straight A’s.’
The twins have always been close. They even developed their own language that no one else could understand as they grew older.
They imagined a future together as neighbors with their respective families when they were young. They also desired that their future children become best friends and go to the same school.
Jalynne married Brandon for the first time in 2011. One and a half years later, anelle married. Because the twins wanted to start a family at the same time, they became pregnant only two weeks apart…
Unfortunately, Janelle had a m.i.scar.riag.e. Doctors discovered that this woman had some health issues that made conceiving difficult for her.
Janelle had an ectopic pregnancy and a history of polycystic ovarian syndrome, while Jalynne had two miscarriages.
But the setbacks bonded the twin sisters even more, and they decided to face the terrible situation together.
Jalynne became pregnant again six months later. She was overjoyed at first, but then she became concerned and felt conflicted emotions.
Jalynne didn’t know how to tell her sister, who had just gone through a terrible miscarriage of her own.
Four days later, she received a call from Janelle, who informed her that she, too, was pregnant!
When they realized they were both pregnant at the same time, they couldn’t stop sobbing and laughing.
Doctors were astounded by the routine checks because the babies developed at the same rate, were identical in length, and were within ounces of each other in weight.
Jalynne knew she wanted to have a cesarean birth, and it turned out that Janelle did as well.
Everything went exactly as Janelle and Jalynne had hoped:
Janelle, the older sister, gave birth to her son, Jace Alan Leopoldo, first. Jalynne followed three hours later with her son, Bryson Ryder Crawford.
