During one of his recent interviews, Blake Shelton revealed what is most important to him and what he is willing to give up for it.

Even though he’s been married to Gwen Stefani for just over a year, Blake Shelton is putting his marriage to her and their children first.

The country singer revealed that in order to prioritize his partner and stepchildren, his music career has taken a backseat in an interview with Cassie DiLaura of Entertainment Tonight.

When he wed Stefani in July 2021, the God’s Country singer also became a stepfather to her three sons: Kingston, 16, Zuma, 13, and Apollo, 8.

Regarding the music competition where he met Stefani, he commented, ‘Look, I love music and I adore The Voice.’

It’s a new stage in his life, he said, adding, ‘I enjoy all the great things I get to do with my career, but those things all take a backseat now to Gwen and the kids.’

Shelton reportedly debuted a new music video for his song No Body in which he can be seen sporting the same mullet he popularized in the 1990s during the beginning of his Nashville-based career.

Even though there is a lot of anticipation, he is not in a rush to release new music. In reality, he considers himself fortunate to be able to work at a faster pace and live a different kind of life.

‘I enjoy releasing songs whenever I feel like it, and fortunately the record label permits me to do that.

They constantly encourage me when I do it, even when I have ridiculous ideas like making a ’90s country video ‘According to Business Insider, he disclosed.

‘Hey, I want to do something, I just say. Will you guys help me?’ and they’ll jump on board, and that’s how we’ve broken some major records.’

Shelton responded that he would undoubtedly have some reservations if someone had told him when he was younger that he would wind up marrying Gwen Stefani.

‘Most likely, I would have responded, ‘Are you referring to that girl who holds up the orange in her video?’ She is from Orange County, something I never realized before “He clarified.

He recalled thinking, ‘Is that the girl holding the orange up in the video? Oh my gosh, she’s so attractive, but why is she obsessed with this crazy orange, you know?’ throughout his entire life of knowing who Gwen Stefani even was.

Now, Shelton says he has no plans to stop making music and that he intends to do so ‘until [fans] fire me.’ He also mentions how being a judge on The Voice has helped to advance his musical career.
