I had no idea what was about to happen when these nuns lined up in a gym. However, keep an eye out as the 12 women enter the gym’s middle while fully attired in tunics, cowls, white gloves, and veils.

To the song ‘I Will Follow Him’ by Little Peggy March, the ladies begin with a liturgical-style dance.

Their motions are so graceful and potent. They are clearly enjoying the entire routine as evidenced by their coordinated dancing.

They waved their arms in the air at the same tempo as the music while holding their heads high.

Watching them was really lovely. The bottom of the tunic was immediately raised up to prevent them from tripping.

When the music picked up speed, these women completely transformed their liturgical dance into a Zumba routine.

Their dancing was very energetic and enjoyable. All around the gym floor, the nuns were clapping and jumping around.

Typically, when we picture nuns, we picture stern women with grave expressions on their faces. I don’t immediately picture talented dancers.
