Reba McEntire, a well-known country singer, discovered love again after divorcing her spouse of 25 years.In 2015, Reba and Narvel Blackstock got a divorce.

Her entire life changed as a result of this. During that time, other people also left her life besides Narvel. The CEO and production manager for Reba left, and her father died.

The country music diva felt as though the ground had been pulled out from under her and she was standing on thin air.Reba was alone without these pillars of support.

It was daunting for the singer to suddenly be left to manage things she had never managed before in her life.

I don’t know where I would be or what my career would be like now if it weren’t for my religion.’ Reba gradually recovered from the shock of being alone herself and mastered self-management.

Then, just as things appeared to be improving, a sudden new tragedy occurred. Reba is now completely alone after the death of her mother.

The Death of Reba’s Mom

The mother of the country musician received a bladder cancer diagnosis in 2020. She started talking to her longtime friend Rex Linn just before she passed away.

When she called him for solace, he replied and said she could chat to him whenever she wanted:We had just learned that MaMa has bladder cancer when I was texting you about it.

You replied, ‘You just feel free to call me anytime you want to talk,’ and I immediately stopped texting.

Rex also mentioned how Reba had helped him in a similar way after his mother passed away in 1998. When his mother was laid to rest, the singer gave him a comforting call.

He treasured that small act of compassion so much that almost two decades later, he remembered it and returned the favor.

Since 1991, the two had been close friends. After seeing one other on ‘Young Sheldon,’ they revived their old relationship in January 2021.

Reba was invited to dinner by Rex, and they had a great time. Even though they weren’t aware of it, Reba gushed that this was their first date.

Reba was certain she wasn’t searching for love after her divorce, and Rex at first was just a sympathetic friend.

Rex and Reba, though, had a lot of similar interests and worldviews. The singer spoke candidly about falling in love without expecting it, saying:

‘I’ve been waiting 66 years for a man to pray with, to share a love of the Lord with, to be kind and kind. That is truly unique.’Along with their shared spirituality, the two have a variety of interests.

Despite the fact that they initially spoke due of their mutual loss, they soon realized they had similarities in their personalities. Given their ongoing friendship, they frequently exchange old tales.

The singer had the chance to spend time at her late mother’s home in 2020 and go through some old possessions.They also fervently support each other’s professional endeavors.

She admitted that she adores the movies and TV shows he appears in. Rex enjoys Reba’s music just as much. They connected over their shared experiences in the entertainment world.

The singer made a suggestion that the two might be getting married in the future. It appears that they have occasionally talked about getting married.

On the program ‘Big Sky,’ they have also been portraying a married pair. Reba acknowledged that they are extremely comfortable acting like a married couple.
