The fact that the youngster wanted to make friends so badly was the final straw for his parents.

His father decided to make an effort to grant that request on his son’s birthday. That’s the way it went down.

Kevin Harrison and Catherine Harrison were reading over their son Daniel’s education, health, and care plan one night before his birthday (EHCP).

This is part of an initiative by the government of the United Kingdom to assess the needs of its citizens with disabilities. Daniel has severe Autism, therefore they get this report.

There’s room for Daniel to reflect on his life and list goals and aspirations in the report. Here he expressed his desires to acquire the skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle and socialize with others.

What really hurt his parents was the second wish. According to Kevin, Daniel’s case of autism is on the more extreme end of the spectrum.

He can communicate, but his answers are always the same. It’s not easy to talk to people and it’s even more challenging to start discussions with them.

He has spent the majority of his life playing independently and without any enthusiasm for socializing. However, it appears that is no longer the case.

Daniel’s fifteenth birthday was approaching up, and Kevin wanted to do something special for him. The father took to Twitter to explain his son’s predicament and express his gratitude for one of his requests.

Then he took to Twitter to solicit support in his mission to shower his son with love on his 18th birthday.

‘That’s my kid Daniel. He wrote, ‘I am profoundly autistic.’ ‘Doesn’t seem to have any friends. His special day has arrived.

One of his goals in life was to get a driver’s license, and the other was to meet new people. Send him birthday greetings! Kindly show him that he is important to you. I beg you, ‘Please, share.’

Kevin figured that maybe a handful of his followers would respond because they knew him and his son.

He had no idea that so many people would offer their best wishes from all around the world, and that some of them would be renowned and influential. Both he and Catherine were caught off guard.

The Tweet quickly gained retweets, favorites, and comments, eventually becoming the most-talked-about topic in the United States. One pretty well-known person was largely responsible for that impact.

Yes, Star Wars’ own Mark Hamill caught wind of the message and gave his approval. A total of 17,000 people liked his tweet, making him one of the first famous people to respond.

Russel Crowe, Sharon Stone, and Ariel Winter were among the famous people who spoke out. Many of the thousands upon thousands of comments weren’t only from famous people, but from other parents of autistic children.

Basically, they just wanted to let Daniel know that he has friends all across the world and that he is not alone.
