Kevin Costner pays heartfelt tribute to his ‘Bodyguard’ co-star, the late Whitney Houston, who passed away in 2012.

The legendary romantic drama The Bodyguard was released in 1992 and features both of these actors together.

Throughout the month of November, the movie will once again be screened in theaters as a celebration of its 30th birthday.

Kevin finds it to be a moving reminder of the great moments he shared with Whitney, who died away many years ago.

Kevin posted a message on Instagram where he talked about the significant event and his time spent working with an industry great.

And there’s no denying that it was a powerfully emotional experience. He began by adding, ‘This November, 30 years after its initial release, The Bodyguard will return to theaters.’

He continued, ‘I could not be more thrilled that we all get a second chance to relive this movie and the magic that happened when Whitney stepped in front of the camera.

I sincerely hope you can join us in honoring both this movie and her legacy.’There was nothing better than being in the same room as Whitney and Kevin. Whitney provided the soundtrack, which was amazing.

‘I Will Always Love You’ went on to sell more than 45 million copies worldwide after the movie’s debut.

Since all of the songs from the movie are so memorable and catchy, it’s difficult to believe that it has been thirty years since we first heard any of them.

Whitney had already made a name for herself as a well-known personality, but ‘The Bodyguard’ cemented her status as an icon.

But according to Whitney, Kevin had to convince her to take part in the movie since she was ‘intrigued’ by the reason why he wanted her for the role so much.

Kevin was so confident in his instincts that he persuaded the production company to push back filming by a full year so that Whitney, who was now on tour, could take part.

Whitney eventually gained his trust because, as he later remarked, ‘she was a pretty street-smart child, she understood things.’

She was unsure of whether or not she was up to the challenge, but I had no concerns about her acting abilities.

When she had to make a decision, I could tell that she trusted me, and ever since then, our connection has endured.

When Kevin learned of Whitney’s passing in 2012, he was completely shocked. He initially spoke about it openly in 2014 when making an appearance on Ellen.

He was asked to give a eulogy at the deceased celebrity’s funeral because of their close relationship.

He fought back tears and said, ‘You weren’t just good enough, you were magnificent; you were simply lovely in every manner a lady could be.

And Whitney, it wasn’t just that they liked you. They cherished you a great deal.’
