The popular sitcom ‘Friends’ made Jennifer Aniston a household name, but her father is also a well-known actor and celebrity in his own right.

When John Aniston was a little child, his family moved from Greece to the United States.He was raised in Pennsylvania, where his parents had a dining establishment.

He began acting in plays in high school, and he majored in theater in college. The Greek actor made his television debut in 1962.

In 1970, John made his television debut on the hit soap opera ‘Days of our Lives.’ Dr. Eric Richards was his first character.

He soon joined more television shows and soap operas. Additionally, he was featured on the debut cover of the publication Soap Opera Digest.

He returned to Days of our Lives in 1985 to reprise his role as Victor Kiriakis, which he would play for the show’s remaining 37 seasons before passing away recently.

John was honored with a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award earlier this year in recognition of the many years he spent performing in soap operas, particularly on ‘Days of our Lives.’

Over four million people have liked and commented on Jennifer’s tweet announcing her father’s passing from other celebrities.

John and Jennifer had a difficult connection even though they were friendly when he passed away. He abandoned her when she was a young child and didn’t see her again for a year.

When Jennifer and John reconnected, she started hanging out with him on the weekends, and their romance was reborn.

In a 1999 interview with Rolling Stone, she stated, ‘My dad explained and apologized as best he could, and it’s enough. We’ve reconciled.’

When she and him both participated in a spoof on The Ellen Show a few years ago that made fun of his career in soap operas, Jennifer further demonstrated the strength of their love.

Before he received the award, Jennifer remarked in her address, ‘It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television industry,

but it’s also a chance to acknowledge the lifetime achievements of a wonderful and well-respected actor who also happens to be my dad.’

Despite their troubled past together, it is obvious that father and daughter Jennifer and John genuinely loved and cared for one another.
