This grandmother caresses her husband’s face as she sings him to sleep in a delicate act of affection that is infused with patience and gratitude.
It’s clear that this woman frequently sings to her husband. She sings and moves in a way that appears to have become a habit over time.
She cleans his chest as he remains motionless in bed. She moves the cross over his cheeks and forehead as if to bless him, after which she places her hand on his chest.
We frequently associate young couples, weddings, and beginning a family when we think of love. But our main objective is to cherish and support one another forever.
The Bible provides a good illustration of that. Boaz and Ruth’s love did not begin due of a crush in the narrative of Ruth. Rather,
it began gradually via deeds of service. They eventually got married after developing a strong affection for one another.
I’m very grateful that this priceless moment was caught on camera and shown to the entire world. It prompts me to consider how we might show our loved ones that we care about them while serving them.
