Often, without understanding someone’s story, people will make unjustified judgments. For Maria,

who worked hard every day to give her kid the best shot for a successful future, this was the case. Maria eventually disproved everyone’s presumptions.

Maria had always faced obstacles throughout her life. Despite her greatest attempts, she always appeared to come up short because of her bad upbringing.

She devoted her life to providing Aiden with the finest upbringing she could.She was a janitor for a cleaning firm and frequently had financial difficulties.

To make sure she could feed Aiden and take care of him, Maria worked 12 hours a day. She enrolled him in a reputable boarding school in the suburbs when he was old enough.

I’ll put in a lot of effort to make sure you can go to college. Before he went on the bus, she assured Aiden, ‘Momma’s got you covered, okay. Every chance she got, Maria made sure to write to Aiden.’

Years later, Aiden, who had a knack for science, told her that he had the chance to work as a doctor’s assistant.

Maria enthusiastically approved when Aiden disclosed that he and Linda had become engaged.
To celebrate and get to know Hugh and Elizabeth, Linda’s parents, Maria made the choice to host an engagement party at a nearby restaurant.

Maria, I don’t believe that will happen. Because of how rigid my parents are, they didn’t grant their approval after learning about Aiden’s past, Linda confessed.

After some time, Hugh and Elizabeth reluctantly agreed to support Aiden and contribute to the cost of the nuptials. The ceremony was really lavish.

Linda was dressed in a high-end bridal gown that her grandmother had given her. Hugh had engaged a well-known chef to cook the wedding, and the cake was enormous.Maria had the chance to meet Hugh and Elizabeth at last, but they weren’t friendly to her.

Maria’s response to the question of what degree she had was, ‘I didn’t get the chance to finish my education since Aiden’s dad left me to raise him alone.’

Elizabeth retorted angrily, ‘Well, if we hadn’t worked hard, then we couldn’t have given Linda all of this.’

VIP attendees at Hugh and Elizabeth’s party included prominent businesses from the neighborhood.

They appeared ashamed to say that Maria was the mother of the groom when asked who she was. Following the exchange of vows and I-dos, it was the turn of the families of the bride and groom to speak.

First on stage to congratulate the newlyweds on their union were Hugh and Elizabeth. Hugh had already paid for the wedding, so when they finally revealed their gift, Aiden and Linda were taken aback.

Hugh and Elizabeth proudly saw the response. Maria stood next to the stage. Many of the attendees started to talk and murmur as they all anticipated a gift that would be quite inexpensive.

As she wished the newlyweds congratulations, Maria wiped away a tear of happiness. The criticism didn’t bother her.

Simply put, Maria was pleased with her son and daughter-in-law. The entire wedding party was stunned by what she said next, though.

Because I knew the cost of your schooling would be high, I worked my entire life and saved money. I mused, ‘Wow, even more expensive,’ when you decided you wanted to become a doctor, Maria said in jest.

Hugh and Elizabeth were laughing at her, not with her, she could tell. Before proceeding, Maria went into her purse for an envelope.

The amusing thing is that you already received a scholarship to study medicine, so you weren’t even in need of the money I had saved.

So what better way to congratulate you than by purchasing you a house,’ Maria said. ‘Now that you’re about to obtain your PhD and you’re getting married to this wonderful young woman.

The moment Maria opened her packet and gave Aiden and Linda a set of keys, the entire wedding party let out a shocked gasp.

Hugh and Elizabeth were left speechless as everyone stood to cheer. Hugh and Elizabeth apologized to Maria after the ceremony.

We sincerely apologize. Since the first time we met you, we have treated you badly. We regret that we prejudged you. Elizabeth said to Maria, ‘You’ve truly showed us how extraordinary you are.’

By the end of the year, Aiden had earned his PhD and had begun working as a physician in Hugh’s clinic.

Maria was forced to stop working as a cleaner by Aiden. Soon after, Hugh and Elizabeth did the same.

Aiden purchased Maria a brand-new car as a way of saying thank you to Linda for everything after she threw her a retirement party.

Aiden and Linda soon had their own children. Maria willingly shared the role of grandparent for the kids with Hugh and Elizabeth.
