After having a few drinks, a woman overnight parks her car at a restaurant. When she awakens, she discovers a note on the windshield.
Grzelak-Schultz drank a couple beers at a bar the previous evening, according to CTV News.
She decides to find a safe alternative to driving home, leaving her car parked in the lot, and finds another way to get there.
Instead of a parking penalty, Grzelak-Schultz discovered a gift card and a thoughtful message from the bar manager when she read the note the following day when she picked up the car.
The managing partner of original Joe’s, Jay McClain, sent the message, which was headlined ‘Guest Original Joe’s Sherwood Park.’ He stated: I simply wanted to express my gratitude for overnight parking the automobile.
I’m not sure if you had alcohol at our restaurant, but we wanted to express our gratitude for abstaining from driving after drinking.
A coupon for one pound of handmade chicken wings was included with the transaction. Please accept this as my appreciation for holding the reins. Live it up and enjoy the weekend.
According to Grzelak-Schultz, the message was either a ticket or a complaint about her car being left in the lot overnight.
She assured the media that she was certain of this. The restaurant manager went out of his way to accept his decision, which made me happy and astonished.
