There isn’t a more graceful and captivating sport than figure skating. As for competitive figure skating, two of the world’s best are sisters Vanessa James and Morgan Cipres.
In fact, they put up a very remarkable performance as a pair at the 2017 World Team Trophy competition hosted by the International Skating Union in Tokyo, Japan. If you watch their performance, you’ll see why they took first place.
As ‘The Sound of Silence’ by Simon & Garfunkel plays in the background, it’s fascinating to see them skate gracefully around the rink.
‘Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence’
The listeners knew they were in for something special from the first note. This couple picked an excellent tune.
Everybody knows that it takes a unique set of skills to dance and glide on ice as smoothly as Vanessa and Morgan did,
and the choreography was full of beautiful examples of just that.
The viewers are obviously impressed.
I am blown away by the seamless synchronicity of their choreography when they do it. It’s no surprise that videos of this act have gone viral on the web. This show was magnificent; it will be one you never forget.
