Nonna Franca, the 94-year-old woman knows perfectly well that music is the food of the soul and of love.

She never missed a concert of her favorite band, Cosimo and the Hot Coals, until her health deteriorated and she was bedridden.

Nonna was a big fan of Cosimo and the Hot Coals, a Milanese band with a great repertoire of Hot Jazz music.

The group consisted of five members played at swing dance events, festivals in Italy and far from its borders, in jazz clubs.

Franca never missed the opportunity to be present at the concerts of the group and to enjoy the special moment.

However, over the years, she weakened so that she could no longer be present in the concerts.

When the members of the group learned of her sad situation, they wanted to prepare a surprise for their devoted fan.The group played a serenade in honor of this old lady in her bedroom.

‘A 94-year-old woman loves us very much. She would like to be present at our concerts, but she can’t do it anymore.

That’s why, from time to time, we go down to her house to perform a song by her bed.Each time, her emotions are indescribable.’

It should be noted that Franca’s grandson, Michele Capasso, is the band’s drummer.
