A man’s wife left him a month after his son was born, leaving him to raise the child by himself. The man initially found being a single father difficult,

but he soon got the hang of it. He had no idea that the youngster was not his biological son and that he would soon have to relinquish custody of him.

On January 22, 2019, New Jersey native Dominique Hermann welcomed his son Sa’kye Hermann into the world. Hermann was as excited to be a father for the first time even though this was his third child.

But a month after his child was born, something unanticipated drastically altered Hermann’s life. The mother of his child fled and did not come back.

The single parent

Hermann had little choice but to raise the child alone after the baby’s mother abruptly abandoned him. He didn’t know how to take care of a baby, but he was capable.

The father disclosed that he had employed a babysitter who had not demanded payment from him. His family

helped him raise the child in the interim, and Hermann quickly became adept at it. He remembered that when Dominique was four months old, his parents began to assist him.

The single parent pondered why fate had placed him in such a difficult circumstance as he daydreamed about

the future of his child. He was unaware that his baby wouldn’t live with him permanently at that time.

Unexpected Information

Hermann admitted that having a child was not on his list of goals once he turned 40 and became a father for the third time.

He made every effort to be the best parent possible for his child while not knowing that life would soon present him with a difficult predicament.

Hermann was the baby’s caregiver for nine months when

he unexpectedly discovered he wasn’t Dominique’s biological father. and he was forced to give his 10-month-old son away to a different family that he was unaware of.

Bringing His Baby Back

A Breakthrough Moment

Hermann consented to give Dominique up to his biological family because he felt helpless. He knew

what the birth father must be going through, so even though it wasn’t easy for him, he had to follow the court’s orders, saying:

‘I would want him back too if I were his dad,’

responsible for anything after speaking with them. Instead, despite wanting to keep the child with him forever, he felt sympathy for them.

Hermann was extremely saddened when Dominique’s biological father took him on November 22, 2019, taking a piece of his heart in the process.

Hermann had been looking forward to celebrating his baby’s first Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthday.

The distraught father later wrote, ’I know your new Dad and family are going to learn to love you as my family and I.’

He prayed that his baby would have the best of everything even though he was inconsolable.
Hermann struggled to settle into his new life after bidding farewell to young Dominique.

No one else was able to fill the vacuum left by the baby’s absence. After spending ten months getting close to his son, he didn’t know how to live without him. The infant was sorely missed by the father.

One more Surprise

Since Dominique left, Hermann had been enduring the most difficult two months of his life when a once-in-a-lifetime

opportunity came knocking. Hermann and his family had received an invitation from Dominique’s biological father to meet the young kid.

When they were reunited after two months, Hermann tweeted a sweet picture of the young child napping on his chest.

Hermann was very appreciative to Dominique’s father because he never expected to see his son again.

Since that time, Hermann has frequently shared images and videos of his son on Instagram, expressing his love and longing for him.

Hermann shared a video of the day Dominique’s birth father took him away a year later and claimed to have come to terms with God’s purposes.
