Evelyn thought she ‘could have sang better’ after everything, but her peers deemed her excellent.

Her performance of ‘Send In The Clowns’ was so heartfelt that it moved the panel of judges and the crowd to tears.

She was the paragon of grace and her modest nature shone through the whole time. The judges gave the brilliant great-grandmother a standing ovation, and she advanced to the semifinal round.

I never in a million years thought that would happen to me. I started bawling when the whole room suddenly rose to its feet. It had such an impact on me.

Following her emotional breakdown on “Got Talent,” the octogenarian candidate composed herself and said with a sardonic smile,

‘I thought that buzzer was going to kill me or something, I’m going to hate going home now.’

The active retiree has volunteered extensively in her community, has a penchant for high fashion, and claims to have used a treadmill “every day for the last twenty-one years” to stay in shape.

Evelyn, who has been a widow for seven years and has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, has revealed that she has always enjoyed singing.

While it has been over seven years after Evelyn’s husband Noel passed away, she has acknowledged that she is still very saddened by the loss of her childhood sweetheart.

I miss my hubby like a limb,’ she sobbed. To paraphrase, ‘ He was a good man, really excellent. I remember when my singing was a favorite.

Simply put, he was a man brimming with affection. This man was so kind and affectionate toward me. If he were here, he’d be so pleased with me.
