Allen Harris, a seven-year-old Englishman from Swansea, has been hospitalized for a long time for treatment for a stomach tumour.
On the day the child was due to go home, the Make-A-Wish volunteers, knowing that the little one had dreams of
becoming a police officer, working together with the West Yorkshire Police, organized an amazing day for him.
A crime scene has been prepared to make his actions as real as possible.
Allen was taken by volunteers from Wales to West Yorkshire. Here the little one took part in a special training.
Allen received his uniform and drove to Wakefield Center in a special car with the police.
Here the child learned about the methods of police work. He learned to search suspects by fingerprints and to handcuff them.
Dressed in a special suit, Allen witnessed a mission and he managed to open the door using the hydraulic scissors, he rode a motorcycle, turned on the siren.
Then he headed to the places where a scene, especially for him, was to be played. He managed to catch the ‘culprit’ and in the end received a special reward.
Make-A-Wish is a charity that helps make wishes come true for children with affections. They try to help each of these children in the best possible way.
