Candace Using her social media presence, 76-year-old fashion and lifestyle influencer Leslie Cima is combating society’s prejudicial views of aging.
All living things experience the unavoidable process of aging, but for women, it is frequently accompanied by stigma and negativity.
With commercials for anti-aging goods and celebrities getting cosmetic operations to keep up their youthful looks,
society puts a lot of pressure on women to delay the aging process. Women’s mental and physical health may suffer as a result of this assumption that they will always be young.
Yet, attitudes toward aging have changed in recent years as more people speak out against these unfavorable stereotypes.
Candace Leslie Cima is one such person who is striving to alter perceptions of aging for both her generation and the generations that follow her.
Through her social media presence, Cima urges women to appreciate their inherent beauty at any age and fosters a positive attitude toward aging.
In her ongoing project called ‘Life in My 70s,’ Cima reveals her favorite clothes of the week, gives open guidance on how to deal with the passing of time,
and highlights her life experiences. By doing this, she has elevated the status of elder women and established herself as an inspiration for coming generations.
Cima stated in a blog post on her website that “the only way that perception is going to change is if we as older women show them that aging is a gift,
something to be embraced, treasured, and shared.’ ‘A result of years of research and education that enables
us to be the best versions of ourselves. Then, whenever and whenever we can, we assist other women in doing so.
Cima’s attitude to aging is striking a chord with her fans, as evidenced by the 7.5 million views and 5.6 million views that her two most popular films have received.

’I am actually 75,” Cima responds with assurance as she marches back and forth in her kitchen like it’s a glitzy catwalk.
Other films feature her boldly strolling by a pool deck in a swimsuit, giving fashion advice, or showcasing her athletic prowess by scaling a tree.
Women of all ages can look up to Cima as a role model who inspires them to value their inherent beauty and live life to the fullest.
