In this video, two women finally meet after 73 years and learn that they are long-lost sisters.

It was like giving two sisters the best Christmas present a few weeks early when they were finally able to speak to one another after being apart for a very long period.

Although seeing her older sister Harriet Carter for the first time at such a late stage in her life

was tough for Linda Hoffman, who is now 73 years old, she stated she would not have had it any other way.

It was Carter who said, ’I think we found each other when we were meant to.’

Before their initial chance encounter, which happened after they both registered for accounts on Ancestry.com, the women did not know one another.

Hoffman was unaware that she had a sibling named Carter at the time, as Carter, now 76, had been placed for adoption not long after being born when her parents were only 18 years old.

Almost two years ago, the sisters were able to find one another on the ancestry website (Ancestry

is a website that compiles records of family history and links families from all over the world).

Hoffman recalled that Harriet had sent her a message that read, ’I think it’s possible that we’re related.

Despite the fact that we were a perfect match, neither of our parents ever mentioned it to anyone.

The two eventually made contact over the phone, and since then they have been talking almost every day.

However, because of the ongoing epidemic, the sisters were unable to meet in person right away.

In the end, the sisters were able to catch up while sitting in the airport terminal and looking over

old pictures of their mother and the rest of the family, including Carter, who wasn’t there at the time.
