Many of us take the items we use on a daily basis for granted. Some people, for instance, lack senses like sight, hearing, walking, and speech.

The worst of all of these is probably living without the capacity to see. The basic beauty of a blue sky or a lush field. Our life would be unimaginable without these riches.

We found this story to be really intriguing because of it. Two-year-old Nicolly Pereira has never

been able to see or hear her mother. She underwent several surgeries in Brazil, but none were successful.

A campaign to assist Nicolly with her vision was launched when Diana Pereira, Nicolly’s mother, posted about her experience on Facebook. And the results were, to put it mildly, amazing!

The Miami Herald reports that Nicolly was diagnosed with Childhood Glaucoma not long after she was born.

According to the doctors, who thought she was incapable of even perceiving light, she would have to live the rest of her life in the dark.

However, after reading Diana’s story on Facebook, one Miami Herald reader contacted the Jackson Health Foundation, a foundation connected to Kevin Garcia’s business.

The combined revenue from the two groups was sufficient to cover Nicolly’s operation costs of $17,000.

When she underwent the procedure, her ocular pressure dropped from 50 to 12 (the normal range for children is between 10 and 20), and the day came to find out if the surgery was successful.

In a heartbreaking video filmed soon before the bandages were removed, little Nicolly can be seen crying hysterically.

However, she settles down until the medical staff removes the bandages from her eyes. Now, astonishingly, she can see for the first time in her life!

She was obviously confused at first, but as soon as she saw Diana, her mother, everything made sense.
