Take a look at this swoon-worthy figure skating couple performing a Riverdance routine. Video

The free dance is performed by Logan Bye (25) and Eva Pate (22) at the 2023 U.S. Figure Skating National Championships.

The two are a vision in sapphire and emerald water color, putting on a highly technical show that

gives us a taste of Irish art and culture on ice and makes us all wish we had a little more green in our blood.

Bill Whelan’s song ‘Reel Around the Sun’ from Scene 1 of Riverdance’s 25th Anniversary Show is playing.

Although the dance starts out gently, Eva and Logan’s choreography is everything but reserved. Their spin at 1:10 captive and their beautiful v-shaped starting stance!

At 1:35, Logan picks Eva up, and she flips over to put her hands and weight on his thighs while her feet are pointing up.

One commentator notices Logan’s small wobble and remarks that he has a ‘human on a tightrope.’
The ‘fun starts,’ as one of the commentators put it, at 2:30.

Their movements make us think of Michael Flatley, the person most frequently associated with Irish dance,

as the tempo quickens and the clapping starts. At three o’clock, Eva stumbles and loses a point, but it’s amazing how quickly the two bounce back and carry on!

The energy has accelerated by 4:00. They end the dance with high-stepping, cartwheels, and bows as Logan holds Eva for a fast spin.

Logan and Eva exchange a smile, but when they embrace, we can feel their disappointment. They are aware that the fall has changed their routine.

Don’t quit watching just yet. The video replays their error and renders their scores. Logan speaks something

to Eva in the very last breath, and the two share a really tender moment. Just a moment. However, this one makes everything ok!

Since 2019, Logan and Eva have been skating together. They train in Michigan even though she is from Ohio and he is from Colorado.

And home is wherever they are together. In 2022, the couple became engaged! Even if it wasn’t their favorite performance,

this one was fantastic. Additionally, they have a ton of days, months, and years to collaborate in life and on the ice!
