Video: Touching scene in which a young child who has been blind since birth is finally able to see her mother…

Nicolly Pereira, who was two years old at the time, knew that her mother loved her very much since she made that clear to her by hugging her and petting her light brown hair.

She had pediatric glaucoma, which caused her to lose her hearing shortly after birth, but other than that, she had never spoken to or even known anything about her mother.

While children’s ocular pressure typically ranges from 10 to 20, Nicolly’s eye pressure was a startling 50,

and the doctors were able to confirm their worst fears by claiming that she was unable to even sense light.

When Nicolly was a young child, she could communicate with her mother exclusively through hugging and touching her.

On the other side, Nicolly’s mother persisted in the struggle. Daiana Pereira had confidence that her kid would soon become aware of what was happening.

Nicolly had undergone seven different surgery to address her medical problems, but none of them had been successful. After some time had gone, Daiana created a Facebook post about Nicolly.

Her narrative quickly gained a lot of viral traction. Soon after, someone who was worried contacted

the Jackson Health Foundation’s International Kids Fund (Wonderfund). The International Kids Fund and the Kevin Garcia Foundation worked together to help Nicolly.

Ultimately, the organizations were able to raise $17,000 USD to pay for Nicolly’s procedure at Bascom Palmer. Following that, Nicolly underwent a three-hour surgery to regain her sight.

Thank goodness, the eighth procedure went well! After taking some medication, Nicolly’s eyes went from having 50 to 12 pounds of pressure.

It was unquestionably a reassuring and comfortable moment when the doctor finally removed her eye patches after the procedure.

She was initially startled by her newly discovered sight, and she looked around the room with a

curious expression on her face. The events that followed were extremely emotional as she then turned to stare into her mother’s eyes.
