For kids, birthdays are extraordinarily important events. They are frequently commemorated with a celebration, friends, cake, and several gifts.

The days leading up to that important, yearly day on the calendar will be counted down by kids with anticipation.

For kids, birthdays and birthday celebrations are quite important.

Lex Fitzgerald was devastated because she understood how much importance kids lay on birthday celebrations.

For her daughter’s fifth birthday, Lex had planned a party. A table was set up, invitations were sent out,

and the 5-year-old birthday girl was dressed to the nines. Every aspect was prepared. But nobody showed up

at the kid’s celebration. Even though a number of the child’s classmates had RSVP’d yes, there were still no shows.

‘She was just sitting there,’ Lex remarked. ‘My heart was torn. While she waited for her companions to come, she sat there. And I simply had no idea what to do.

The low attendance at her daughter’s party distressed Lex. Lex then had a thought, though. She posted on social media to engage the neighborhood.

The mother of the bereaved child described how nobody turned up for the child’s party despite being invited and being told not to be busy.

The guests started to arrive at the celebration a few minutes later.

And believe me when I say that within 15 minutes of publishing that post, people began to show up, said Lex.

‘Families began to show up for her birthday celebration. It was the most amazing display of camaraderie and neighborly affection.

But those visitors also brought something to the gathering. For the birthday girl, they made sure to provide gifts.
