She is extraordinary. The young figure skater, just two years old, who amazes everyone on the rink
With their grace and timing, professional figure skaters convey the illusion that everything is easy.
However, it’s not at all easy. People aren’t born with the ability to glide through ice on thin metal blades.
It takes far longer than just two years—years of demanding training and lots of practice. Most children under the age of two are still learning to walk.
They can largely navigate barriers by walking around them. They might have the ability to go up and down stairs.
A two-year-old may be able to balance on one foot, albeit awkwardly and for brief periods of time.
But what about skating?
A tiny two-year-old Russian youngster is well on the way to mastering the sport of ice skating.
Due to the nation’s notoriously harsh winters, people may start partaking in winter sports earlier.
But throughout her entire life, this little girl has only experienced, at most, two winters.
Even though she hasn’t flown or done any loops, axles, or salchows yet, she has already mastered a number of essential skills.
She is just two years old, did we not mention that?
In the video we’ve included below, you can see this wonderful young girl dash to the edge of the ice and glide over it. She only needs one skate to complete the task.
She looks beautiful in her traditional costume and seems to be having a fantastic time. Many adults have to crash into a wall to stop.
But this two-year-old pauses, rotates quickly, and strikes a natural position. What age a competitor in the Winter Olympics must be is left up for debate.
