The 64-year-old retired electrical specialist Bruce Campell has always had a keen eye for advancement.
When he was in his mid-twenties, he spent $23,000 on 10 lush pieces of property in Hillsboro, Oregon, and he had a deal.
He built himself the most amazing house imaginable using an old plane and a sizable piece of land.

Campbell has always taken great pleasure in taking things apart and putting them back together in new, creative ways.
It was his intention to use this parcel of land as the foundation for the house he planned to build for himself from a variety of abandoned freight ships.
Campbell believed he had created a truly original design for a home, but at that time he discovered that someone else had already constructed something nearly comparable.
The Mississippi beautician Joanne Ussery was discovered by Bruce Campbell roughly twenty years after he first thought of his scheme.
She’d converted a Boeing 727 into her residence. She made the decision to rebuild her previous home as a plane and relocate
next to a tranquil stream when it burned down. After giving it some thought, Campbell made the decision to change his course of action.
He also made a few crucial adjustments to them. Please read the post further if you’d like to learn more about Campbell’s flight home and see additional images.
Airbus 727
Campbell purchased a Boeing 727 from Olympic Aviation lines in 1999 for a hefty $100,000. When he first obtained the enormous plane, he had to get it to the Oregon wilderness.
The plane must be relocated as far away from Athens, Greece, to further complicate matters. He ended up paying $220,000 for
the stream even though the total cost of transportation was just $120,000. Nevertheless, he believed that the plane was a total waste of money.
Inside
All of life’s requirements are freely offered. The lavatory and a piece of the first row have been shielded from the aircraft. Campbell also added a sink and a washing machine.
Unassuming
Campbell doesn’t put a lot of effort into his eccentric home, despite the fact that the Boeing 727 is quite open.
He makes do with a sofa for a bed, a microwave and toaster oven for a kitchen, and cereal and canned goods as his preferred diet.
Achievement
Although we’re awestruck by what Campbell was able to do, we’re not sure whether we’d want to live on this plane like Campbell does.
Look at this plane for a moment—doesn’t it look cool? Being able to do something this big should feel better.
