Raised in the home of an alcoholic, this little boy went on to become a great singer.

This well-known country music artist, who is currently experiencing great success, had a difficult upbringing that included frequent transfers and alcoholism in his family.

Even as a well-mannered child, this gifted musician had a great deal of emotional turmoil in his early years.

The musician talked candidly about his life and work and how his parents’ many moves had a negative impact on him, robbing him of a sense of security and closeness in his family.

He told Rolling Stone that, looking back on his childhood, he would have preferred to have had greater closeness

and love from his parents. He said, ‘My dad was an alcoholic, and I grew up in an alcoholic’s house.’

He mentioned his father’s physical discipline and the lack of verbal displays of affection or pride in the same interview.

‘As a child, I don’t remember him ever telling me he loved me. All he would say after I did a job that I felt was great was,

‘When you speak onstage, you’ve got to slow down.’ The singer said that he never made any such comments.

This singer—who is he?
The 56-year-old country music hero who opened out about his early trauma is none other than Keith Urban,

who is well-known for being the loving spouse of 56-year-old Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman. The pair first connected

in 2005 at an Australian-American celebration, and during their early marriage years, they moved to a farm.

Urban is a devoted and caring father to his two girls, Sunday and Faith Kidman-Urban, and he has been seizing every

chance to raise and mentor them in a secure setting. Urban is driven to break the cycle of his past.

Urban previously told ABC News that he admires his parents’ strength and determination in starting over in a strange country,

despite acknowledging the struggles they endured, including their big journey from New Zealand to Australia when he was just two years old.

‘They were managing extremely well, taking into account that they were beginning an entirely new life in a foreign nation,

which Australia was to them. They lacked financial resources. He remarked, ‘I’m just incredibly impressed with what the two of them were able to do.

Now that he has transitioned from a turbulent upbringing to a happy existence with his devoted wife and girls, Urban is obviously appreciative of the stability and affection he has found.
