Anson Williams discovers true love in his 70s: Their wonderful love story

Anson Williams, who started to blossom in his seventys, married memoirist Sharon MaHarry last spring, starting a new chapter in his life.

At seventy-four, Williams’ most well-known character is still that of the gentle Warren ‘Potsie’ Weber from the classic television series Happy Days, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Williams acknowledged the many turns and turns of fate that brought him and Sharon together, including many divorces, in his reflections on the path that brought him to her, as reported by Daily Mail.

Williams said, ‘I bought my Ojai house almost 14 years ago. At the time, Sharon was in real estate and sold it to me and my wife.’ ‘She never left my mind even after I got divorced and ended up with the Ojai house years later.’

They crossed paths once more after going through difficult times in their lives. Before her husband’s illness and death, Sharon had been married for 35 years, and she felt lost.

Williams also went through the agony of divorce and struggled with loneliness exacerbated by a past cancer diagnosis.

‘Meeting him was like receiving a gift from God,”’Sharon said to Entertainment Weekly, summarizing how Williams brightened her life during a difficult time.

Williams also remembered asking Sharon out to lunch without knowing about her previous troubles.

Notwithstanding Sharon’s recent injuries, which had left her in a wheelchair only days earlier, their three-hour lunch turned into a life-changing experience.

Their journey resulted in a heartfelt ceremony on May 6, 2023, with Williams’ close friend and Happy Days co-star Danny Most serving as best man.

Through it all, Williams hopes their story serves as a reminder that love knows no age limits.
‘There’s no age limit on being loved. There’s no age limit on living life fully,’ Williams said, embracing this new chapter with Sharon by his side.
