Most of us will probably attempt to soothe a crying youngster if it is a result of something not feeling right. Children truly require adult assistance at that time, after all.

Slade Thompson, then 5 years old, frequently had lengthy stays in hospitals. After yet another surgery,

he awoke one day to discover his mother was gone. She refused to come when the lad called for her. The boy began to wail out of fear.

Nurse Annie Hager happened to be close to the ward at this point. As she came into the ward, the

woman questioned Slade about his tears.
The youngster acknowledged that he was afraid and in agony. The infant desired a hug from someone.

The small patient made the nurse feel terrible for her. She took a seat beside the youngster and gave him a hug.

The boy calmed down and felt better right away. When Slade’s mother returned after some time, she noticed this sight.

Inspired by this heartwarming image, the mother snapped a photograph of her son curled up close to the nurse. She then shared the picture on social media, whereupon it gained popularity.

The youngster remembered the nice woman even after he was released from the hospital. Slade praised Annie for her kindness and brought her flowers. The nurse responded by crying uncontrollably.
