In a touching video, a 67-year-old actor from Cyprus vowed to use his CPR skills to save a small, wounded sparrow.The bird-like thing was found unconscious after an ‘unfortunate pool mishap.’

You can hear teasing and laughing in the background of the video, with people telling him to get rid of the bird that doesn’t seem to be alive, but Costakis Constantinou didn’t give up.

His son Rolandos told GNN, ‘Nobody thought this was possible or even worth trying, but he stayed focused and patiently continued.’

He applied his life-saving techniques with unrelenting persistence, and against all odds, the sparrow began to regain consciousness and begin to flutter again.

‘I’m confident that when the little sparrow opened its eyes and took off, he felt incredibly relieved, happy, and satisfied.’

Rolandos became upset and called his father to express his pride after watching the video one more (see below).

‘He has previously performed CPR to prevent two persons from having a heart attack. My father is in the right place at the right time for some reason.

Rolandos wrote in an email, ‘I wanted to surprise him by sending over his video.’ ‘I’m very happy for him.’
