Hollywood icon Glenn Close uploaded a number of selfies without makeup and declared that she felt ‘beautiful as ever,’ sending her hordes of followers into a frenzy.

Close, who is currently 76 years old, has had a lengthy and illustrious career that includes standout parts in popular movies like 101 Dalmatians and Fatal Attraction.

However, all glossy filters were taken off when she posted a series of unguarded photos to Instagram, highlighting the two bruises on either side of her nose.

The well-known actress addressed the bruises in her caption, stating that a broken nose repair was the cause of them.

She added, ‘I believe today is going to be especially GOOD.’ (Shower the bruises off. I got a small break in my nose repaired, and I felt gorgeous as always.

It goes without saying that Close’s post created quite a stir, if only because it shows a really striking photograph without a caption.‘I just LOVE the way you are able to laugh at yourself Glenn,’ a user commented on Instagram.
