Pierce Brosnan, a former James Bond actor, believes Aaron Taylor-Johnson could be the next 007 with ease.
In an interview with ‘The Ray D’Arcy Show’ on RTE Radio 1, Brosnan discussed his feelings over rumors that Taylor-Johnson will be assuming the renowned role.
Regarding Taylor-Johnson, Brosnan remarked, ‘I think the man has the chops, the talent, and the charisma to play Bond, very much so.’
‘The Greatest’ was one of the first films we ever made, according to Brosnan. He was the best in it, too.
‘Well, I did read in the news that he might be a Bond guy, so I would definitely tip my hat to the fellow,’ he continued.
As Daniel Craig steps down as 007, Taylor-Johnson is widely regarded as the front-runner.
The Sun revealed on March 18 that he has received a formal offer for the part and is anticipated to sign a deal shortly.
However, Taylor-Johnson’s close sources knocked down the report, claiming he hasn’t been cast as Bond.
Between the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s, Brosnan played the British secret agent in four different movies: ‘GoldenEye,’
‘Tomorrow Never Dies,’ ‘The World Is Not Enough’ and ‘Die Another Day.’ Recalling their collaboration on the 2009 film ‘The Greatest,’
which was produced by Brosnan’s Irish DreamTime company, Brosnan spoke with Taylor-Johnson on ‘The Ray D’Arcy Show.’
Refusing to talk about his possible Bond casting, Taylor-Johnson wrote a cover article for Rolling Stone UK.
Taylor-Johnson stated, ‘I can really only talk about the things I’m going to show and tell.’ I don’t think
it’s necessary to plan out my future. I believe that I am capable of doing better than whatever is being presented to me.
