Shirley Clements oversaw the dance department at the British Columbian school North Surrey Secondary.

She had dedicated her life to teaching for many years, and in 2015 she was approaching the conclusion of her career.

Although it has been said a million times, age really is irrelevant. No one could have demonstrated this better than Shirley Clements, a Canadian dance teacher who is currently in her sixties.

Even though she had a great time working as a teacher, she intended to retire in 2015. She knew it was time for her to turn a new page in her life.

She decided to take part in an annual dancing competition that she had started nineteen years earlier with her students.

This sixty-year-old woman was seen on camera showcasing her amazing dancing abilities. Bruno Mars was playing the song ‘Uptown Funk’ while the younger

dancers were entering the room and taking up their spots. However, everyone’s mouth fell when Shirley joined them.

Shirley broke it.

Although Shirley was in her seventies, she was much more than just a graceful dancer for her time.

She performed every move beautifully, matching the level of rookie dancers. She demonstrated an exceptional level of skill in teaching her students every dance move that she knew.

Just by looking at her, the audience’s excitement was obvious. A minute later, the women walked to the side of the stage and the men to the front.

Their most cherished teacher, who had accomplished amazing things, joined the boys.
She accomplished a headstand in twenty seconds, something that most people would never be able to accomplish.

She concluded her career in a way that was rather remarkable. After all of her hard work, her entire class gathered around her to offer her the recognition she deserved.
