Selena Gomez is saddened by the beauty standards of her contemporaries. The 31-year-old actress believes that there are ‘very unrealistic’ ideals in the world of beauty.

‘Personally, I have felt that there are many unrealistic standards in the world of cosmetics, and I feel a little sad for my generation,’ she said.

The actress, who is the founder of Rare Beauty, admitted that she has no idea how to apply makeup. She simply hopes that others ‘feel good’ about buying her brand.

Selena stated that her goal is to make makeup products that will make her fans happy.
She ‘spent years’ trying to get a certain image, she says, she realized that it was all just a ‘waste of time’.

‘I don’t believe in concrete standards. I’ve spent years trying to live up to them, and it’s exhausted me. It’s a waste of time.’
