A Bartender Describes Why a Strange Request Led to a $900 Tipping from a Customer

Social media is ablaze with talk about a bartender who was tipped almost $1,000 for granting an uncommon request from a patron. Why did the customer leave such a large tip is still a mystery.

People disagree on whether tipping is always necessary, even for excellent service, in the ongoing dispute about tips.

During this argument, a bartender revealed that she had received a sizable tip from a client—but only after complying with their peculiar request.

Scarlett Green, a TikToker who goes by @rescarded, posted the narrative on her page. A patron ordered five pints of Michelob Ultra Draft and ten chicken wings with buffalo sauce at her bar in January.

According to a receipt Scarlett provided, the customer offered a whooping $900 tip to the $30.26 price.

In comparison, a $3 tip would have represented about 10% of the total, and a $900 tip was a staggering 300%.

Scarlett shared a selfie of herself and the receipt image on social media, stating that the client had complemented her hair and asked to snap a photo.

One viewer of the video said, ‘As a food service worker, this just warmed my heart. You guys deserve that tip 110 percent.’

Numerous comments regarding the request and the kind tip were made in response to this. A few made jokes about how overwhelmed they would feel in Scarlett’s position.

Scarlett and other food service employees were commended by many for earning such substantial gratuities. Someone even expressed their desire for a similar encounter in their prayers.

Because bartenders put a lot of effort into making sure you have a pleasant experience, it is crucial to tip them.

They mix beverages, recall your preferred orders, and maintain a vibrant atmosphere. Since their base compensation can be rather modest,

tips help them make a fair income and demonstrate appreciation for their efforts. It’s also a chance to express gratitude for

their outstanding service and guarantees that they will always offer premium drinks and hospitality.
