Since Kim Kardashian is no new to splitting opinions, she probably won’t be too concerned about her outfit for the 2024 Met Gala being called ‘unhealthy’ by some.

A who’s who of the top celebs attended the event, which happened yesterday. With the theme of this year’s event being ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,’ it was, as always,

an opportunity for them to harness the strange and the fantastic in terms of their attire. But ‘The Garden of Time’ was the dress code.

As expected, a plethora of images from the occasion surfaced, showing most of the guests embracing their most flamboyant selves while dressing in oddball gowns and statement-making dresses.

Much has been written about the A-listers and their striking displays, but Kim Kardashian was the guest who garnered the most attention because to her custom John Galliano dress.

Say that five times fast: the 43-year-old reality TV star’s ensemble consisted of a floor-length silver leaf mesh netting, a grey cardigan a la shrug, and a strapless silver corset.

It was enough to elicit passionate reactions from some of the people watching the Met Gala from their homes.

While we’re not disputing Kim K’s stunning appearance, if you examine the shape of her ensemble—more especially,

the corset portion—you may find that some people were correct to note that the tight fit made them feel ‘uncomfortable.’

Simply put, the TV personality’s waist is so tiny due to the corset’s design that it appears as though her body has undergone a drastic rearrangement to make everything fit.

Social media was used by people to express their opinions about Kim’s wardrobe choices. Some said that if others tried to copy her look, it ‘actually is concerning.’

Kardashian would ‘continue to promote an unhealthy waist’ that was “not natural and healthy,’ according to an another commenter.

One worried Instagram user said, ‘To all the ladies, this isn’t natural don’t think for one sec this is what you need to look like.’

‘Kimberly, where is your torso?’ said another.

‘Seems like you’re hurting,’ said someone else.

Unsettling,’ a fourth person said.

‘OMG, are your organs ok?’ wrote the fifth.

Kim’s outfit for the Met Gala this year did, in fact, bring back memories of earlier times when women were compelled to wear corsets so tightly laced that they ran the risk of passing out or suffering severe internal damage.
