Athlete Achieves Marathon Milestone Despite Down Syndrome

Chris just made history by being the first person with Down syndrome to compete in and complete the top six marathons in the world, according to a YouTube video.

When Chris finished the Tokyo marathon in March, he set a new world record. Chris is the first individual with Down syndrome to participate in and finish an Ironman triathlon, according to the video.

Although Chris’s father acknowledges that unpleasant remarks can occur, he believes that those remarks have served as inspiration rather than acting as a deterrent.

His father remarked, ‘Everyone told us all the things he couldn’t do when he was born.’ ‘And one of the main reasons my wife

and I travel the world and participate in so many events is to give other parents hope that their children can achieve great things and lead amazing lives.’
