Five years after her last appearance, Demi Moore made a triumphant comeback at the 2024 Met Gala. She looked stunning in a gown that was handcrafted over 11,000 hours ago, at the age of 61.

The outfit was fashioned of wallpaper, not just ordinary cloth. Together with this, Demi displayed a unique ten-carat jewelry collection.

The black gown had a striking spiky, heart-shaped accent and was decorated with a motif of pink and white flowers. Demi selected Cartier glittering diamonds to finish off her look.

To make sure the gown remained the focal point of attention, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury gave her a modest look and arranged her hair sleekly.

The designer of this piece, Harris Reed, was inspired by a Cartier necklace to create a stylish wallpaper masterpiece.

The dress’s 11,000 hours of silk embroidery alone are a sign of Demi’s comeback on the red carpet.

Reed compared his design to the vines that hold Demi’s burgeoning presence, and the dress’s Chloris floral pattern pays homage to the Greek flower goddess.

Demi revealed in a conversation with Ashley Graham that the gown felt light in spite of its appearance and even gave her the want to ‘want to rumba.’

There was a mixed response to Demi’s attire. Some exclaimed, ‘Wow, best outfit of the night,’ in amazement.

Amazingly beautiful,’ others said, while others expressed disapproval, saying she was ‘too old and trying to recover her youth.’

Some made the comment, ‘She looks like a different person,’in reference to her altered appearance when comparing her to her previous self. Bad.’
