The dog is now in capable hands. Due to the impending intense heat, a police officer in Florida discovered this puppy tethered to a pole and in misery.

Thankfully, Police Officer Angela Laurella intervened and requested assistance from the nearby shelter right away.

The dog was adopted by the shelter and given the name Liam. Amy Roman, the founder and president of the group,

even thought of adopting Liam until a long-term home could be found for him. Officer Laurella’s generosity has spared Liam from suffering in the future. Watch the video below to see the rescue story!
