Until his death at the age of 58 twelve years ago, Patrick Swayze had a profound and reciprocated love for his wife Lisa.
Similar to the romantic comedy ‘Ghost’ in which they acted, their love tale has all the makings of a fantastic film.
They continued to gaze lovingly at one another after 34 years of marriage. Patrick, then in his early twenties, and Lisa, then fifteen years old and a ballet student,
crossed paths in the late 1970s. Unlike other girls who were head over heels for him, Lisa acted differently. Patrick found herself captivated by her serene and aloof personality.
After a while, Lisa began to feel something for Patrick, and eventually they fell in love. They were unable to conceive after getting married in 1975.
Together, they experienced difficult periods such as the anguish of losing a child and difficulties in their personal and professional lives.
But these challenges strengthened their relationship even more. They enjoyed dancing together and were more than just husband and wife.
They were also good friends. Their relationship was further enhanced when they launched a business together.
After losing his father and sister, Patrick battled alcoholism, which presented them with yet another obstacle.
Lisa helped him recuperate and return to his regular life by being there for him throughout this difficult time. Patrick suffered from severe health issues in 2008,
and he regrettably lived for just an additional 18 months. Lisa believed that getting into a new relationship would be betraying Patrick, thus she avoided doing so for five years after his death.
However, she soon came to understand that Patrick would have preferred for her to be content and move on with her life.
She became receptive to the notion of falling in love after this. Lisa got to know Albert DePrisco, a billionaire, prior to 2012.
After getting hitched, they are now contentedly settled in Florida at the age of 65. Lisa still has a stunning appearance, and her attractiveness hasn’t aged.
Although she is content in her new marriage, she will always treasure her memories of her late husband Patrick. On her blog, she frequently posts images of their enjoyable days together, honoring their unwavering love.
