An emotional grandfather couldn’t hold back his tears of joy when he read his newborn grandson’s name badge and discovered the baby was named after him.

Mike Scheff, 63, had no idea what was in store for him when he walked into his daughter Jessie Way’s room.

Then, as he and his wife, Julie, 63, looked at their newborn baby boy, Jesse, Julie suddenly noticed a name plate: Michael Sheff Way.

Not only did Jessie name her baby Michael, but she also added his middle name, Sheff. Jessie, 33, wanted to pass the middle name on to the next generation.

As soon as Julie invited Mike to read the baby’s name, he just couldn’t hold back the tears. According to Jessie,

baby Michael was born a few days early, so she and her 35-year-old husband, Barrett, kept the name a secret until the parents flew in from the next state!
