A Cincinnati barber has won over a lot of people’s hearts with his charitable acts for his community.
This kind man has a program called GIFTED where youngsters in the community with special needs can get free haircuts.
But it’s his bond with seven-year-old Ellison that has the attention of the entire world. Ellison is a joyful young man with Down syndrome who has undergone three open heart surgeries.
Ellison perseveres despite the challenges his condition presents. Vernon Jackson, Ellison’s barber,
was immediately taken by the man’s infectious enthusiasm and wanted to make sure he was comfortable having his haircuts.
After giving Ellison some clear directions, Vernon produced a humorous game that quickly gained popularity on TikTok.
In the video, Ellison is getting a haircut from Vernon. Ellison was instructed to say ‘stop’ when he needed a break or to halt, and to say ‘go’ when he was ready for Vernon to carry on.
